How far is Ephesus from İzmir?
About 80 km — roughly one hour by car on good motorway, to the ruins beside Selçuk. From Adnan Menderes Airport it is closer to 45 minutes.
Can I do this on a flight layover?
Yes — it is one of our most common requests. From about seven hours between flights the day works well; luggage rides with us and we plan backwards from your departure time.
Is the train from İzmir an alternative?
There is a pleasant regional train from Basmane to Selçuk, and for independent travellers we recommend it honestly — but it runs to its own timetable, and the station is still a taxi ride from the gate. Door-to-door removes all of that.
