What makes this day different

This is the day most pilgrims and many families choose: Ephesus in the morning — the city of Paul’s two years, of the Ephesians letter, of the theatre riot in Acts 19 — and the House of the Virgin Mary after lunch, when the morning coach crowds have rolled back down the mountain.

The house itself asks for unhurried time, and that is precisely what a private day provides: time for Mass (held daily), time at the wishing wall, time to simply sit. Guests of every faith and none tell us the same thing afterwards — that the mountain quiet is the part they remember.

Is the House of the Virgin Mary authentic?

The honest answer: tradition, not archaeology, makes the claim — a tradition strong enough that Popes Paul VI, John Paul II and Benedict XVI all came. The Vatican has never ruled formally; pilgrims rarely seem to mind. We tell the whole story on site.

Is there a dress code at Mary’s house?

It is an active place of pilgrimage: shoulders covered is appreciated, and a light scarf in your bag covers every situation. Ephesus itself has no dress code at all.

Can we attend Mass?

Yes — Mass is celebrated daily at the house, and we happily build the day around its time. Tell us when you book.
